The old Oil-press
The old oil-press, dating back to the end of 1700, lets the visitor have a sight of the country culture of Maremma: it’s an unspoiled space which kept evidence of the ancient job of olive oil pressing, carried on by several generations during the past time. Included within the entrance ticket are the introduction of the different working phases and the use of the tools still present there: among them all is the impressive driving wheel connected to the grindstone, such a mechanism was taken from a model made up for the first time by Leonardo da Vinci.
